First Congregational Church was one of the only two churches in Kokomo at its forming in August of 1863. In 2013 we celebrated out 150th anniversary. We have gathered as a church in our current building since 1924.
We are thankful God has given us the opportunity to minister to the Kokomo community in the love of Jesus' name.
We are an independent church that is unaffiliated with any particular denomination. Our name “Congregational” reflects that our church is governed by the membership through transparent communication and a voting process on our Church Council, our Lead Pastor, budgetary and building concerns, and elected offices.
We are organizationally simple so we can stay mobilized on living out our mission to love God, love people, and make disciples.
